Here at Cloudy2Clear (C2C) licensed wastewater operations is provided for the facility.
Specifically, operations and maintenance (O/M) of the facility, design/build improvements to existing systems, expanding removal efficiency solids and soluble contaminants, to meet and exceed permit limitations, along with providing licensed Operator-of-Records for O/M activities is the C2C goal.
Licensed Operations provides electrical, mechanical, plumbing, compressed air, blower diffuser system, instrumentation and controls (I&C) troubleshooting, repair, replacement, upgrades, and licensing services.
The daily day-to-day O/M is normally covered by the client/maintenance crew. The licensing requirements and O/M services that are not completed in-house, make C2C an excellent choice to optimizing the current system. Whether it be a pump station, industrial - sanitary wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), or just a component or components within an existing system that need attention, C2C is happy to provide service, as well as train in-house individuals to gain the experience that will help optimize the current system. This can be on power consumption, compliance, chemical usage, solids handling and removal, or a combination of some, all, and other O/M activities.
Every state has program that employs the Licensed Operator-of-Record, and each state is slightly different but follows similarities. First usually water and wastewater are typically separate licenses. In New Jersey:
S - Sanitary Wastewater
C - Collections Wastewater
N - Industrial Wastewater
T - Water Treatment
W - Water Distribution
Here at C2C, focus is mostly geared towards wastewater (S/C/N); however, C2C can offer recommendation to others in the business to provide reliable water (T/W) licensing needs and service.
C2C also offers training services to client's maintenance and service department on their current system. This often leads to team members within an organization to obtain experience, and eventually once completing the required coursework, obtain their own licenses as needed for the facility.
This includes general day-to-day operations and maintenance (O/M), in addition to licensing, permit generation, sampling, training, and reporting to regulatory agencies of the system as required by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Agency (NJDEP). Other governing entities, for example, publicly owned treatment works (POTW) and additional state regulators operate in a similar manner, that follow permit guidelines and ensure that the permit obligations are met. This applies to a POTW, New Jersey Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NJPDES) and/or a National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit, approved by the Regulation Agency.
The water and wastewater treatment market is anticipated to increase at a CAGR of 5.4% from 2022 to 2032, from an estimated USD 565,514.4 million in 2022. Rapid urbanization and population growth, strict water treatment regulations, the increasing demand for new water resources, the rising importance of public health and water quality, and the rising incidence of waterborne diseases are some of the factors driving the growth of the water and wastewater treatment market. Water and wastewater treatment system suppliers are anticipated to see considerable growth prospects in the coming years as a result of the rising demand for energy-efficient and cutting-edge water treatment technology. However, it is anticipated that the high installation, maintenance, and operating expenses will significantly impede the growth of this market. One of the main obstacles to the expansion of the water and wastewater treatment sector is the deteriorating state of the current infrastructure.

Upgrades to outdated DAF units include better chemical injection, design/build flocculation tubes increasing retention time and solids collection, bench/jar-testing to optimize chemical dosage, fine air displacement, mechanical/electrical improvements, and solids handling and removal, to enhance wastewater treatment.
Additionally, C2C has the ability and understanding to improve current wastewater treatment process treatment trains. From increased solids removal or lowering cost/removal efficiency, our operations team is well versed in Industrial and Sanitary Treatment Processes.
Activated Sludge - Biological Process. Expert service in generation of the biological process utilizing "seed" from a local facility or generation independently adjusting recycle/wasting activated sludge (RAS/WAS) and dissolved oxygen (DO) rates, Here at C2C, our technically competent licensed wastewater operations team have successfully generated biomass cultures in less than six (6) weeks from scratch, without "seeding" a plant. Seeding becomes imperative with those clients that need quick results and have limited time due to strict permit requirements.
Specifically when targetting chemical dosage, bench-scale jar testing and alb analysis confirms preocess removal efficiency on a small scale and helps caldulate the best chemical dose for optimization.
Clarification can be affected in many ways. At times adjusting the gear-box ration, or VFD settings in a direct drive setup can optimize sludge settling and removal, while clarified supernant flows ofer the effluent weirs within permit limtations. Adjustment to RAS/WAS rates, and targetting specific SVI and clarifier blanket depth, in addition to scraper/skimmer replacement, adjustment, are just to mention a few target items C2C can optimize your current system.
C2C provides upgraddes to current compressor and/or air blower systems to improve airflow to each aeration basin. Whether your blower system is simply outdated, or in need of a new unit, motor, instrumentation and controls or something more completx; C2C will generate options that will vary on cost to repair to replacea nd make recomendations as needed for the upgrade.
